This graph depicts the consumption of time with respect to different genders i.e. male and female on the basis of their working status from 1989-99.
It shows that unemployed and retired male and females spend the same number of hours for leisure according to their respective genders (male:80-81 hours and female: 72 hours) Male that are employed part time spend no free hours and on the contrary, employed part time female spend free 40 hours. The lowest number of hours female spend freely (38 hours) are the ones who work full time. On the other hand, males who are employed full time tends to spend 47 hours of their time freely and enjoyably. Homemaker spend 52 hours of their time freely.
The overall view shows that unemployed male spend the most time leisurely with the maximum of 81 hours per week and the retired or unemployed females spend 72 hours deliberately.
